Cabbies: Suitable for females?

Well, let's start of this one request from a disabled society to have more female taxi drivers, because apparently, a blind woman was taken on a terror ride by a male taxi driver, just because she could not see who he was, could not take down the taxi plate no, and obviously, unable to make a police report.

Thinking about this, that poor blind girl could have been raped, left by the side of the road or a secluded place, and she is unable to defend herself at all, and the taxi driver gets all the glory just because he could not be traced!!

Somewhere, somehow, we do hear stories on how ladies are being threatened, or taken for a terror ride by taxi drivers. It has become so bad that lesser woman are taking taxi's these days and opt to take a bus and burst the piggy-bank to get a car, even though it may cost them their precious time and their lifetime savings.

There has been many countless reports on cabbie drivers, from the way they drive, not respecting traffic rules, threatening their passengers with exorbitant high fees, dictate their own fees without using the meters, making additional round-the-bush trips so that they could rip off the passengers ( apply mostly to foreigners), hogging airports and forcing people to take cabs, just to name a few.In a basket full of apples, not all are good apples, not all are bad apples either. But no matter how many bad apples are there, we cannot judge that all the apples there are bad apples

Truly, there are but a few percentage of cab drivers that does the exact opposite of what is being mentioned here. They are worth respected for taking their job seriously, but i do feel bad that they are getting all the bad name. If only the blind woman could have gone into the cab of an honest and respectful cabbie, there will not be any issue of getting more female cabbies.

Women have already controlled the public transport arena, as we see female bus drivers and lately, female-only busses, female-only trains.Feedback from these, women felt much safer travelling in all-women's coaches. For them, it's safer, less crowd plus, you don't have to worry getting harrased sexually. Plus, the journey itself would be pleasant as women tend to be understanding especially when they have a load that they need to take care of..their passengers.

The main reason why the disabled society are calling out for woman cabbies!!!And the main reason why the all- ladies coach are becoming more and more popular...

High Society Females

Let me first apologize to all the female species out there, as i'm out to thrash them. And this is coming from another female's point of view..!!

At 4pm in the evening, it was badly jammed in LDP, and it's not even after office hours yet! When approaching the 'so-called-accident' ( as to what people may think as they wait impatiently in their cars waiting to see what is causing the jam), saw a stalled red car by the side of the road. Hmm...now THAT is NOT causing the jam! Wonder what is, when the car is at the side? Moving forward, saw a mechanic changing the tyre, and right next to him was this girl, tall, with those platform heels, hair tied up in a volumnized pony-tail and  full make-up. And the ironic thing is that, this girl is wearing a micro miniskirt......and basically, everyone is stopping for a 'free show'.

Why am i saying this is because, the traffic was very clear after that..!!!

Me and a friend of mine was having breakfast at this Indian restaurant, and being in a very quiet neighborhood, and seeing that it's past the breakfast hour, we were the only ones there. Whatever we have ordered came right on the spot, as in 'good service' provided, not until........three girls walked in.

And yes, another case. Indian girls,wearing shorts, hair re bonded and walking in as if they are some contestant of a beauty pageant.

Almost immediately, all the waiter's attention turned over to them instead. My 'Air Suam'( lukewarm water) that usually comes in less than 5 minutes, took 20 minutes to arrive. My friend gave the gesture that we leave seeing that we are no longer attended too, but without giving a piece of his mind to the lady behind the counter.

It is not that i'm against all these 'high society females' ( as i call them), but these are done on purpose. Let's put a situation. Two girls, the first gal is wearing jeans and normal blouse ( meant for smart casual), sandals, hair in a natural state and minimal make up. And the second girl, wearing this super high-heel shoes, slim legs,wearing a micro mini skirt and a sheer white blouse, carrying a branded handbag, make up and the hair re bonded, the attention seeker's will prefer the latter, and not the former. And the latter, does it on purpose as she wants attention, she want's men to go oh-la-la over them. But thinking about it, is this really necessary?

And not forgetting, these women will only socialize and talk with the men driving a BMW or the latest Merz, donning a Armani Tux, dinners at posh restaurants. Where else the middle-income men may not afford such means, they are shunned away by these females. As these women turned away from them, nose high in the air, giving that 'i-do-not-care-about-you' look, walked off as if they are modelling for the America's Next Top Model.

I have personally women who belong to 'The Other Side of The High Society Female' group. These woman, may dress in a fashionable manner, but they are not doing it for attention but its because they are comfortable with this. Basically, they are who they are, and what they are. And they could mix and talk to anyone, do not need to know if the guy is driving the latest Merc or the latest Perodua. I admire women of these character. Yes they are sexy, yes they may seek a little bit of attention ( no doubt, right!), but with a very pleasant smile and a pleasant attitude, everybody loves her!

As for me, I prefer being simple! I would rather prefer my torn jeans, sandals and baby-tees whenever I go for my casual outings. Not to self praise myself here but yes, I do get attention. Not of my clothing, not because i'm sexy ( ehh! Not!), but its my ever cheerful, bubbly character. And to me, in a woman, being simple and being yourself is the most beautiful thing ever.

Not to shun off those women who may have the characteristics above, message I have for you is, do you think its necessary faking yourself in order to get what you want, or what you seek, or what you need? That is because, girls like me have also achieved what they want, what they seek and what they need, by portraying our original selves truly............
